Apart from these error messages, a number of other Windows startup problems can take place including:
Blue screens. Also known as stop error, Blue Screen of Doom and BSOD, Blue Screen of Death is generated by the operating system, most notably Microsoft Windows, when it has suddenly terminated with an error. It leaves the system locked up with a diagnostic information display image of white text on a blue background.
The blue screen may include some hexadecimal values from 00 to 11 (0 to 17 decimal) which can be used to ascertain the causes of the error.
Dialog box saying "One or more services failed to start". Misconfiguration or registry corruption may be behind this error but it can also be caused by application incompatibility of some form.
Hung system. Erring drivers or corrupt system registry by registry corruption and virus infection can also cause the Windows start up to fail.
